Dear NC IPMA-HR Members, 

We hope you are doing well during this difficult time. We missed seeing everyone this Spring due to postponement of our annual conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the travel ban/restrictions that most of our members were and continue to be under, and we look forward to seeing you all virtually and in-person for future events. We are committed to keeping our members safe and continue to monitor the situation in our state. Our current plan is to reschedule the conference in Asheville in the Fall of 2021, once it’s safe to hold in-person events again. We will keep members informed as we move forward. Thank you for your patience and understanding. All fees paid for the 2020 annual conference will be transferred to the next conference in 2021. 

Since we could not have an annual meeting this year, we have several outstanding items that need to be considered by the NC IPMA-HR membership. Please take the time to review these documents and submit your vote. Input from the membership will be considered at the board's transition meeting next month. Voting will be open until Aug. 14, 2020. 

In addition, please indicate if you are interested filling the vacant role of Publicity/Technology Committee Chair. The member serving in this role is responsible for updating and maintaining the NC IPMA-HR website and assisting with updating and maintaining our social media platforms. We're looking for someone who is tech savvy and comfortable with utilizing various platforms to provide content for our members.

Whether you are an NC IPMA-HR member, an interested public sector HR professional or, perhaps, a friend of the organization, we have designed our site to provide you with answers to your questions and give you a sense of why we exist and the purposes we work to fulfill.

Our chapter is comprised of human resources professionals from government agencies (county, city, state and federal), as well as government-funded agencies, organizations, and medical and educational institutions from across the state of North Carolina.

For over twenty years, NC IPMA-HR has provided opportunities for public sector human resources professionals to exchange information and ideas through networking opportunities and professional development activities.

Membership offers a diverse network of valuable resources for the professional engaged in any of the functional areas within human resources and provides resources to help you meet daily challenges as well as keep you up-to-date with trends and new developments in HR.
